ACTIVITIES

The Sixth Giambiagi Winter School is intended primarily for graduate
students in Physics, although students from other disciplines, advanced
undergraduate students and postdocs are also encouraged to participate.
The 2004 School will be devoted to Particle Physics, from both the
experimental and theoretical point of view. The aim is to provide an
overview of recent developments in the area, and to encourage young
scientists and students working in related disciplines to go into this
 exciting field of science.

The School will be organized around eight short courses of two to three
lectures each, taught by internationally renowned experts, that will
provide an overview of recent theoretical and experimental advances at the
forefront of elementary particle physics. There will also be a few
additional specialized seminars and a new edition of the "Latin American
Workshop on Fundamental Interactions" will take place.

LATIN AMERICAN WORKSHOP ON FUNDAMENTAL INTERACTIONS

Simultaneously with the Sixth J.J. Giambiagi School, a new edition of the
Latin American Workshop on Fundamental Interactions will take place. The
workshop is organized in association with the LatinAmerican Network on
Phenomenology of the Fundamental Interactions.
As in previous editions, the workshop aims to tighten the links between
the Latin American HEP community, particularly, offering the possibility of
presenting results and research in progress in short talks to any member
of the community. These talks will take place in the late afternoon.
Experienced researchers are kindly encouraged to participate in the
workshop!!
