SECOND BULLETIN
----------------------------------------------------------
GENERAL SCOPE
The Seventh Giambiagi Winter School is intended primarily
for graduate students in Physics, although students from
other disciplines, advanced undergraduate students and
postdocs are also encouraged to participate. The 2005 School
will be devoted to Materials Science, specially focused on
New trends in complex materials from both the experimental
and theoretical point of view. An International Workshop on
Recent developments in complex materials: production and
characterization, will also be part of the activities.
The aim of the School combined with the Workshop is to
provide an overview of recent developments in the area,
and to encourage young scientists and students working in
related disciplines to go into this exciting field of science.
The School will be organized around eight short courses of
two lectures each, taught by internationally renowned experts,
that will provide an overview of recent theoretical and
experimental advances at the forefront of materials science
and engineering. A two days Workshop has been organized,
where local expert scientists will give an overview of their
current research lines. There will also be a poster session.
