Dear colleagues

The Center for the Physics of Biological Function sponsors a series of
day-long symposia, held at The Graduate Center of the City University of
New York.  We reserve one symposium each semester as the “students +
postdocs edition,” inviting nine young scientists from around the world to
speak on the full range of topics in the physics of life.   The program for
last semester’s event can be found here

The next event will be on April 21, 2023.  We cover all expenses for the
invited speakers, and in addition to the symposium there are opportunities
for informal interactions among the invitees and with local colleagues.

We ask your help in bringing this opportunity to the attention of your
young colleagues whom you think would contribute to and benefit from the
program.  The relatively simple application can be found here

*The* *deadline is* * March 24.* We apologize for the short notice but the
process is simple.

In previous editions we have been fortunate to attract cohorts of
participants that are balanced along many axes:  theory/experiment, the
scales of the phenomena that they are studying, and more.  We are
especially happy to welcome young scientists from a diversity of personal
and institutional backgrounds.
