[Depfis] Escuela Giambiagi 2025: "Holografía, agujeros negros y teoría de la información"

Nos alegra enormemente anunciar formalmente la XXVII Escuela Giambiagi,
"Holografía, agujeros negros y teoría de la información"
<https://giambiagi2025.df.uba.ar/>, que se llevará a cabo del 21 al 26 de
julio de 2025 en el Departamento de Física, FCEyN, UBA.

Esta edición de la escuela versará sobre los últimos avances en física
teórica de altas energías. Los temas centrales serán la correspondencia
AdS/CFT y sus ramificaciones, la descripción cuántica de los agujeros
negros y las aplicaciones de la teoría de la información cuántica a la
teoría cuántica de campos y la gravitación cuántica.

La escuela contará con un plantel de oradores de primer nivel, que incluye
a tres ganadores de la medalla Dirac. Los speakers confirmados son: Pablo
Bueno, Horacio Casini, José Edelstein, Johanna Erdmenger, Gaston Giribet,
Juan Maldacena, Tadashi Takayanagi y Gonzalo Torroba.

La inscripción a la escuela abrirá en Febrero de 2025.

Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce the 27th edition of the Giambiagi School, which
will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from July 21 to 26, 2025.
Organized annually by the Physics Department of the University of Buenos
Aires, each edition focuses on a different topic. Next year’s theme will be
holography, black holes, and the applications of quantum information to
quantum field theory and quantum gravity.

The list of confirmed speakers includes Pablo Bueno, Horacio Casini, José
Edelstein, Johanna Erdmenger, Gaston Giribet, Juan Maldacena, Tadashi
Takayanagi and Gonzalo Torroba.

The school is intended for PhD students, postdocs, and advanced
undergraduates in Physics. There is no registration fee, and scholarships
may be available (subject to funding availability) to encourage
participation from students at Argentinian universities and other
institutions across Latin America. Participants will have the opportunity
to present their research through a limited number of talks and poster
sessions. Registration will open in February 2025.
