International Colloquia on Physics for Society*, taking place on *Monday,
16 June 2025, at 13:00 CEST on Zoom*.

This session will feature *Prof. Andrew Forbes*, Distinguished Professor at
the *University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa)* and Director of South
Africa’s Quantum Roadmap. A renowned expert in Structured Light and Quantum
Photonics, Prof. Forbes will share insights from his cutting-edge research
on *Quantum Structured Light*, as well as highlight the strategic vision
and emerging work under *South Africa’s Quantum Technology Initiative*.

Under the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development and
the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the IUPAP/UNESCO
International colloquia series aims to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue
and international collaboration at the intersection of physics, technology,
and society, with a view to advancing the *UN Sustainable Development Goals*
