The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and
the Physics Department of the University of La Havana are jointly
organizing the first Latin-American School and Conference on "Statistical
Physics and Interdisciplinary Applications" to be held in the periods
28 February - 9 March 2005 and 10 - 12 Marcha 2005 respectively.

The school will be focused on recent progresses of fundamental statistical
physics on complex systems and some interdisciplinary applications. In this
wide field it will provide a didactical introduction to the followin topics:

- Introduction to Statistical Mechanics of Complex Systems
- Computer Simulations of Complex Systems
- Statistical Dynamics
- Glassy Dynamics and Statics
- Optimization and Inference
- Biological Physics
- Econophysics
