PASI2012 - Exploring the Terascale and Beyond
University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 5-16, 2012
At present times there are hadron collider and neutrino experiments
collecting data that will provide a new vision of the Terascale
and Beyond. In parallel, many underground laboratory and extraterrestrial
experiments are providing a new handle on astrophysics
and cosmology. The Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute (PASI2012):
:Exploring the Terascale and Beyond" will present the
current state-of-the-art in particle physics and cosmology through
pedagogical lecture courses as well as a number of special topics
drawn from exciting results at the forefront of research.
The school will take place March 5-16, 2012 at the University of Buenos
Aires, and will build on the successes of the previous
PASI schools. The target audience is young postdocs or graduate students
from US and Latin-American institutions, with strong
interest in particle physics and cosmology. Both theorists and
experimentalists are encouraged to apply.
All presentations will be made in English. The school program will
include time for informal discussions, and social activities in
the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. Financial support for a limited number
of US and Latin-American students to attend PASI2012
is provided jointly by U.S. National Science Foundation and the
Department of Energy.
Qualified women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
Mentoring of postdoctoral fellows is an important part of the program and
applications from young physicists who have received
their Ph.D degrees in the last 3 years and are pursuing research in the
field are encouraged.
