Tobias Walther
El titulo tentativo del seminario es:
Eisosomes mark static sites of endocytosis
Alejandro Colman-Lerner y Fernando Marengo

Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry
PhD Student/Postdoc in Biochemistry/Structural Biology
(reference number: 46.06)
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative PhD student/
Postdoc for research on assembly of large protein complexes,
specifically eisosomes. Eisosomes are large protein complexes at the
plama membrane that mark sites of endocytosis. The major goal of the
project will be to elucidate the biochemical interactions, assmebly
pathway and structure of eisosomes . To this end we employ a wide
spectrum of techniques from cell biology, biochemistry and mass
spectrometry to EM and crystaloography methods.
Applicants should have a strong research background. The type of
appointment depends on the level of previous training and experience.
The initial appointment will be for 2 years with the possibility of
extension.
The Max Planck Society is committed to employing more disabled
individuals and especially encourages them to apply. It also aims at
increasing the number of female staff members in fields where they
are underrepresented, and therefore encourages women to apply.
To apply, please email a curriculum vitae, bibliography, the names
and addresses of referees to:

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative PhD student/
Postdoc for research on plasma membrane dynamcis and endocytosis. The
major goal of the project is to elucidate the molecular function of
eisosomes. To this end we employ a wide spectrum of techniques from
high throughput genetics, bioinformatics to cell biology and
biochemistry. This project is based on collaboration with Nevan
Krogan’s laboratory (QB3/UCSF) and Pablo Aguilar
(Inst.Pasteur,Montevideo) might necessitate short-term work in the
partner laboratories.
