RESUMEN:
  
Abstract: CP violation is one of the least well understood aspects of the 

Standard Model of particle physics. It is thought to play an important
role in the matter / anti-matter asymmetry observed in the universe today,
which is itself one of the biggest questions in cosmology.
The BaBar experiment running at the Stanfor Linear Accelerator Center was
designed to study CP violation effects with unprecedented precision. I
will present the status of the experiment as well as some of the
most interesting results.
