*Research Associate in Theoretical Physics (12 months)*

*Salary £26,666 per annum*

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical 
Nuclear Physics. This post is available from 1 September 2007 for 12 
months.

The post is funded by an STFC grant entitled: 'Applications of the 
Coupled Cluster Method in Nuclear Physics.' The successful applicant 
will be expected to devote a substantial portion of their time related 
to research. The Manchester Theoretical Physics Group will also require 
a candidate who has, or is about to obtain, a PhD on a relevant topic in 
Theoretical Nuclear Physics or Quantum Chemistry.

The individual will need to be well versed in relevant areas of 
theoretical physics and have either a close contact with the nuclear 
experimental programme or a broad knowledge of quantum many-body theory. 
You will also need to interact closely with our overseas collaborators.
