Postdoctoral Opening:



     Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in
studying small molecules/atoms interacting with strong femtosecond laser
fields at the nation's first optics school, The Institute of Optics at
University of Rochester. This is an experimental research position, and
suitable research backgrounds include laser spectroscopy, atomic/molecular
physics, and/or physical chemistry. Past experiences in using lasers,
vacuum, time-of-flight spectroscopy, and/or COLTRIMS are desirable. However,
particularly strong candidates in other backgrounds but are interested in
exploring this research direction are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Separately, the group may also have openings in the near future in studying
ultrafast dynamics in solid materials, and candidates who are interested in
that research direction are also welcome to apply. Applicants may submit a
