"Diffusion Evolution Problems with Nonlocal Terms"


Summary:

"we deal with equations that describe the evolution in time
of quantities (physical, biological, etc). In the general equations
under study there are some terms that involve the knowledge of the
function in a fixed neighborhood around a point for its evaluation,
hence these terms are called nonlocal terms. We will present a
motivation for the study of these equations as well as we study the
applicability of energy methods to obtain bounds for the asymptotic
behavior for large values of time."

Ciencias de la Computación,
otorgado por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología 
e Innovación Produc-
tiva (Argentina) al mejor científico joven (menor de 45 años). Enero
2010.
