Dear Colleagues,



We'd like to bring to your attention the ICAM sponsored conference,
"Outcome of Graduate Education: From Condensed Matter to Bio-Physics"
in celebration of the 75th birthday of Leo Kadanoff to be held 6-7
October at the University of Chicago.



ICAM is sponsoring several junior travel awards for this meeting.
Please bring it to the attention of your colleagues, particularly
students in your department.  In addition to a cast of innovative and
creative speakers, the meeting will also involve:



1)  A tutorial on Renormalization Group Theory the day before the meeting.

2)  Travel awards for junior scientists.

3)  Four (4) slots for junior scientists to present at the meeting.

Dear All,

This is to announce a meeting to take place at the University of
Chicago on "Outcome of Graduate Education: From Condensed Matter to
Biological Physics " on October 6-7, 2012. The meeting is to coincide
with a celebration of Leo Kadanoff's 75th birthday.

In conjunction with the meeting, a satellite tutorial on
renormalization group for students and postdocs will be held prior to
the meeting in the afternoon of Oct 5, 2012.



A limited number of travel awards are available for students and
postdocs to attend the tutorial and the meeting.  Several junior
scientists will also be selected to present their work at the meeting
based on abstract provided at registration.



To be considered for travel awards and oral presentation, please
submit your registration by Aug 31, 2012.
