Titulo: Genetics and epigenetic of migraine


Department of Human Genetics, Leiden University Medical Centre, 2300 
RC Leiden, The Netherlands.

Migraine is a prevalent neurovascular brain disorder with a strong 
genetic component, and different methodological approaches have been 
implemented to identify the genes involved. Part of the seminar 
focuses on pearls and pitfalls of these approaches and genetic 
findings in migraine.

I will also discuss  aspects of the pathophysiology of migraine based 
on the studies of the murine migrane models of the human  Familial 
Hemiplegic Migraine.
