Les comento que el miércoles 18/12 va a exponer Conrado Costa en el
Seminario de Probabilidad del Departamento de Matemática. Por un tema de
disponibilidad, en vez de en el lugar habitual, la charla será en el Aula 8
del Pabellón I.

*Título: *"Reaction-Diffusion models on an infinite graph"

*Resumen:* *Reaction-Diffusion (RD) models are Interacting Particle systems
that allow for birth death and jump of particles on a graph.*
*In this talk I will present a construction of RD models on an infinite
(countable) graph. From the basic construction we will move to the study of
the fluid limit of a family of such processes. As the limit differential
equation is not linear, the usual proof of uniqueness of solutions is not
readily available. I would like to conclude by explaining the coupling
estimates that allow for the proof of convergence of the family of RD
models. This is a work in progress with Bernardo da Costa (UFRJ-BR) and
Daniel Valesin (UGroningen-NL).*
