editorial del Institute of Physics
(IOP) –el Instituto de Física del
Reino Unido- le propuso al profesor
del DF, Ricardo Depine escribir un
libro. Podría haber sido cualquiera
de los temas en los que se
especializa pero prefirió hablar del
material que cautiva su atención
hoy: el grafeno.</p>

esta variedad del carbono llevaron a
Andre Geim y Konstantin Novoselov a
ganar el Premio Nobel de Física en
2010 y, desde ese momento, crecen
las expectativas dentro y fuera de
los laboratorios. Puede que en el
futuro el grafeno reemplace al
silicio en los microprocesadores, a
los cables de cobre en los aviones o
se lo use como filtro de alta
densidad para el agua. Un universo
de posibilidades. </p>
