</p>
<p>Dr. Michael Commer is a Staff Geological Research Scientist at
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Earth and Environmental
Sciences Area. He earned his Ph.D. in geophysics at the University
of Cologne (Germany), which focused on three-dimensional
time-domain electromagnetic inversion. His current research
interests include multi-dimensional, inverse and forward
electromagnetic modeling problems arising in exploration and
environmental geophysics, hydrogeophysics, numerical methods on
distributed computing platforms and accelerated hardware
computing.<br>
<br>
This talk will be a cross section of some of these research areas,
namely:<br>
<br>
· Electromagnetic imaging in time- and frequency domain,
including CSEM-MT joint imaging<br>
<br>
· Hydrogeophysical joint inversion: Combining
ERT/CSEM/Seismics with hydrological data. Applications: CO2
sequestration monitoring, fracture monitoring.<br>
